Resend, reset, or remove a participant
Fix a single survey participant — send a new link, wipe their responses, or remove them entirely.
Most participation problems come down to one person and one email. Every fix lives on the participant’s row in your PSindex® survey.
Before you start
You need the admin role. Open the survey’s participants view and find the person — search by name or email if the list is long. See who has completed your survey explains what the status badges mean.
Resend the invitation
Use this when the email got lost, deleted, or buried.
- Open the participant and choose Resend Invitation Link.
- The same personal link goes out again to the same address. Nothing else changes — any progress they’ve made is kept.
You can also copy the participant’s Invitation Link and send it yourself through your own channel — chat, calendar, a manager. Same link, no email delivery in the way.
Reset the invitation
Use this when the person needs a genuinely fresh start — they answered by mistake, someone else used their link, or their responses shouldn’t count.
- Open the participant and choose Reset Invitation Link.
- Confirm. Resetting deletes their responses permanently and re-sends their invitation so they can start over.
This is destructive. If they had completed the survey, that data is gone and they start over.
Delete the participant
Use this when the person shouldn’t be in the survey at all — they left the company or were imported in error. Open the participant, choose Delete Participant, and confirm. They’re removed from the survey and stop receiving reminders.
Fixing a wrong email address
Edit the participant’s email to the correct address, then resend the invitation. If mail to a whole domain seems to vanish, the problem is upstream — see Platform emails aren’t arriving.
