Fix your survey's org chart
Reconnect people who roll up to no team, or move someone to a different leader, on a PSindex survey that has already gone out.
A PSindex® survey’s org chart decides which team each person’s answers roll up to, and which leaders can see their team’s results. If a manager email was mistyped or missing, people land outside the chart. The org chart page lets you repair it after launch, with a preview of every effect before you commit.
Before you start
You need the admin role, and the survey must have launched. Open the page from Fix the org chart on the survey’s Sharing page, under People leaders, or from the warning in the org chart view.
The page works on charts built from Manager Email. If it reads This org chart can’t be repaired here, the chart connects people by something else, such as a position ID. Contact the LeaderFactor Solutions Team at [email protected].
Reconnect people who aren’t connected
The top of the page lists people who aren’t connected to the org chart. Their answers count in Overall, but roll up to no team. They’re grouped by the leader they listed, with the reason, for example a leader who isn’t a participant.
- Select Reassign… for one person, or Reassign all to… for the group.
- Choose who they should report to. Only people already on the chart can be a leader.
- Review the preview, then select Change the org chart.
If the missing leader isn’t on the survey at all, add them first. See Add or update participants after launch.
The page also flags anyone who heads their own branch, usually because their manager cell was blank or held their own address. Move them under the right leader the same way.
Move anyone else
Under Move someone else, find a participant, choose their new leader, and review the preview.

Nothing changes until you confirm. Check before you change the org chart shows who moves and the people they bring with them, anyone else whose place on the chart changes, who gains or loses access to their team’s results, and anyone who still won’t be connected. People gaining access are emailed that results are ready if the survey notifies on release.
The page refuses a move that would put someone in their own reporting line, under themselves, or under someone not on the chart. To change who sits at the top of the chart, contact support.
Recent changes
Recent changes records every move, who made it, and when, including changes made from the participant list. On a closed survey, remember that results may already have been shared, so a change here changes what people see.
For how the chart is first built, see Set up attributes and hierarchies.
