Surveys (PSindex®)

Create your first PSindex survey

Go from zero to a named draft survey and understand the setup steps ahead.

Last updated July 14, 2026

The PSindex® survey measures psychological safety across your organization. Creating one takes a minute — the platform then walks you through the rest.

Before you start

You need the admin role and the survey admin feature on your organization. Surveys are org-wide: you add participants by CSV and read results in heatmaps. This is a different engine from 360 batches and individual assessments.

Create the survey

  1. Open the surveys area and choose to create a new survey.
  2. Enter a Survey Name — pick something you’ll recognize in a list later, like “Engineering Q3 2026”.
  3. Save. The survey is created as a draft with the status Not Sent. Nothing has been sent to anyone.

The two setup steps

The survey’s overview page shows a guided setup:

  1. Add Participants — import your people by CSV or add them one at a time. You need at least 3 participants before the survey can run. See Prepare and upload your participant CSV.
  2. Schedule Survey — set the start and end dates, pick a reminder cadence, and confirm pricing. See Schedule your survey and customize invitations.

Complete them in order. Once both are done, the overview confirms your survey is scheduled.

Survey statuses

  • Not Sent — a draft. Edit anything freely.
  • Scheduled — dates are set; invitations send automatically on the start date.
  • In Progress — the survey is live and collecting responses.
  • Closed — the end date has passed and responses are locked.

What happens next

On the start date, every participant gets an email with a personal link. They take the survey from that link and never see scores — results are for admins only, in the heatmap. Before you schedule, it’s worth setting up attributes so results can be segmented — see Set up attributes and hierarchies.
