A new video production for The 4 Stages of Psychological Safety™

Newly produced videos with deeper content across the on-demand course, the workshop, and certification, plus new lessons in the on-demand course.

September 4, 2026 Courses & trainingFacilitation

The 4 Stages of Psychological Safety™ has been filmed again from the beginning. Every video in the course is newly produced, and in places the content goes deeper than it did before. The new videos are live everywhere the course is delivered: the on-demand course, the workshop, and facilitator certification. How far each one goes differs, so this post covers them one at a time.

What’s new

A new video production

Every video in the course is new. This is a full production rather than a re-edit: new filming, a new visual treatment, and content revisited alongside it. Several concepts are covered in more depth than before, and some topics that used to be mentioned in passing now have a segment of their own.

Videos stream from the platform, so there is nothing to download and nothing to swap out. The next time you open the course, you are on the new production.

New lessons in the on-demand course

The on-demand course goes furthest. Alongside the new videos it gains roughly ten new lessons, so the self-paced path through the material now covers more ground than it did before. The new lessons sit throughout the course rather than in one block, and they follow the same structure as the lessons around them.

Learners who had already finished the course will see it reopen with the new lessons to complete.

Supplemental videos in the workshop and certification

The workshop and certification keep their existing lesson structure. They inherit the new videos, not the new lessons. Where the on-demand course has a video that does not map to a workshop lesson, that video is available as a supplemental resource inside the related lesson. Participants can go deeper on a specific concept on their own time, and the shape of the session stays exactly as facilitators have planned it.

An updated certification slide

One slide in the Wrapping Up module has changed. The PSindex® full results slide is now an illustrative treatment rather than a product screenshot, which keeps it accurate now that the full results page has itself been redesigned. See Updated results screens for psychological safety skill offerings.

Who this affects

This applies to the newest version of The 4 Stages of Psychological Safety™ only. Organizations running a legacy psychological safety program or a SCORM deployment keep their current course exactly as it is today: same videos, same lessons, same materials, and nothing for you or your learners to do. If you would like to explore moving to the current version, contact the LeaderFactor solutions team at [email protected].
