The Coaching & Accountability Matrix™ course, updated
An updated course with Coachindex™ as pre-work, Behavior Change Center commitments, a new certification, and continued access to the legacy course for existing organizations.
The Coaching & Accountability Matrix™ course has been rebuilt: a redesigned slide deck, the Coachindex™ as pre-work, commitments that flow straight into the Behavior Change Center, and a new certification for facilitators. The updated course is now the default for newly added organizations. If your organization is already running the legacy course and you’d like to move to the updated version, reach out to your LeaderFactor solutions team at [email protected] and we’ll enable it for you.
What’s new in the course
The coaching skills assessment becomes the Coachindex™
The coaching skills assessment has been elevated and renamed the Coachindex™, a diagnostic of each participant’s skills across the 4 steps of the coaching cycle. The assessment itself changes in only two ways: it is now multi-rater, and it includes two qualitative items that address the coach’s strengths and opportunities.
The Coachindex™ also moves to pre-work. Before the workshop, each participant takes the self-assessment and invites the people they coach to provide external feedback. Workshop time then goes where it counts: analyzing results, discussing strengths and blind spots, and identifying a commitment to improve. External feedback appears once three or more raters respond, which preserves rater anonymity.
Commitments and the Behavior Change Center
The course feeds the Behavior Change Center directly. The updated course arrives with the behavior change release, so the center is live from your first session with the new deck. Behaviors participants identify during the lessons are saved as they go, and the Commitment Prioritization lesson closes the loop: participants review what they flagged and confirm up to three commitments to start practicing. Through Sharing & Access, each participant can share their center with their manager or a peer who acts as their accountability partner, so follow-through continues after the workshop ends.
A redesigned deck
The deck’s design has been updated end to end and reflects every change above, from the pre-work framing to the new commitment flow. The course now closes with a Certificate of Completion.
What changes for facilitators
- The updated course ships with a new certification, and you will need to complete it before facilitating the updated workshop. See Become a certified facilitator.
- The deck is redesigned and the facilitator notes have been reviewed and updated to match.
- You debrief Coachindex™ results rather than administer an assessment live. Participants whose external feedback hasn’t arrived work from their self-assessment results, so missing data never holds up the session.
- Everything else about running a workshop stays the same.
What changes for administrators
- Versioning. The update arrives as a new workshop, online course, and certification, created alongside the legacy versions rather than replacing them in place. Existing organizations stay on the legacy course by default; nothing changes automatically at release. Newly added organizations start on the updated course. If you’d like your organization moved to the updated course, contact your LeaderFactor solutions team at [email protected]; we’ll enable it and walk you through the transition.
- Certification. Facilitators must complete the new certification before facilitating the updated workshop. If your organization moves to the updated course, build certification time into your rollout scheduling.
- Pre-work lead time. Enroll participants early enough to complete the Coachindex™ self-assessment and gather rater responses before the session. External feedback requires three or more raters, and raters need time to respond.
