Postpone or hold a workshop
Keep a workshop cohort intact when the date slips, without losing progress or firing reminder emails.
When a live workshop is postponed indefinitely, keep the cohort. Clearing progress or deleting the workshop throws away work participants have already done.
Before you start
You need the facilitator role (or admin access to the cohort). Open the workshop from Facilitate → Workshops, then edit its dates and emails on the cohort page.
Hold the workshop without losing progress
- Open the workshop and go to its settings.
- Under Dates, push Workshop Starts far enough into the future that no reminders should fire (and Pre-work Starts too, if that date hasn’t passed yet).
- Save. Automated emails tied to those dates reschedule to the new timeline — nothing is sent until the dates approach again.
- Optionally open the Email Flow (or the Emails step when editing) and set reminders to Disabled as extra insurance.
Participant accounts, enrollments, pre-work, and completed activities stay in place. When a firm date is confirmed, set the real Workshop Starts (and pre-work date), re-enable any emails you turned off, and save — reminders pick back up on the new schedule.
Don’t delete the cohort to “cancel” it
Delete Cohort removes the cohort and its enrollments from the training. That cannot be undone. Progress, pre-work, and completed activities for that workshop are lost. Participants remain in your organization, but they are no longer enrolled in this workshop.
Only delete a cohort that was created by mistake and has no meaningful progress. If people have already started, hold the dates instead.
