Create and run a workshop

Set up a workshop cohort, enroll participants, and manage it through delivery.

Last updated August 5, 2026

Facilitators run live workshops as cohorts — a named group of participants moving through a course together.

Before you start

  • You need the facilitator role. The Facilitate menu with Workshops appears in your navigation once you have it.
  • Participants need license seats for the course you’re delivering — coordinate with your org admin. See Manage license seats.

Create a workshop

  1. Open Facilitate → Workshops and select the option to create a new workshop.
  2. Choose the course, name the workshop, and set the session details.
  3. Add participants. Enrolled participants get access to the course materials and any pre-work.

Run it

  • Open your workshop from the Workshops list to see the roster and manage enrollments as people join or drop.
  • On the day, use Present mode to deliver the official slides — see Present course materials.
  • Participants complete their portions (pre-work, activities, post-work) in their own accounts, and their progress is tracked automatically.

If the date slips

Don’t delete the cohort to pause it. Push the dates out (and optionally disable reminder emails) so progress stays intact — see Postpone or hold a workshop.

After the workshop

Completion feeds participant progress and, if you’re working toward certification, delivering the workshop counts toward it — see Become a certified facilitator. Org admins can export enrollment and review data from cohort administration — see Create and manage training cohorts.
